Communication
is important because it is the way that we connect with people around the world. We communicate through oral communication,
technology, written, and body language. Communication requires skills in processing, listening, observing, speaking,
questioning, analyzing, and evaluating. Effective use of communication through personal interaction helps build relationships
between current and potential customers or clients.
During
my schooling at Towson University, I was assigned a group project that helps to represent my skill
of communication. This project can be viewed by clicking https://altezza24417.tripod.com/WirelessIndustryPresentation.ppt.
As a group
we came together and decided the best way to compile a PowerPoint presentation compiled of over 50 slides. The PowerPoint
presentation was assigned in a IS/IT class and was assigned to represent the ability to define different IS/IT components
of international businesses. We compared them and compiled a presentation that made it easy for people that did not
know anything about any of the three companies compared, to understand their structure and IS/IT components.
This project
is important to me because it is the longest PowerPoint slide that I have ever done and represents my ability as an individual
and as a group member to effectively communicate our findings to a class of over 30 students. I chose this presentation
because of the way it was easily communicated to the class and the teacher.
As a group,
we decided a good layout for a research project presentation. Each company was given it's own background to
give the audience a feel for the different companies. Each company also included a background slide as well as
a services slide before going into the technology of the company. Each IS/IT component of the industries was
described in great detail and then each component was deeply analyzed. The presentation was easy to follow and
had a lot of good information arranged in a good order.
This presentation showed
me how to bring an enormous amount of facts and opinions on different companies and organize them all into an organized
professional presentation. In the future, I will be able to take the facts of a case and organize them in
order to make my client's cases easy to understand. This project also helped me to understand how to properly use
Microsoft PowerPoint in an effective and efficient manner.
